I walked up the hill to my local high street today to buy some painkillers, milk and a birthday card.

girly day

On Saturday I spent a soul-healing day with some female, single, child-free friends.
We had lunch (complete with wine), had our nails done, pottered around the shops and then went here for tea.
It was just lovely!

catch up

I've been away from my blog for a while because I've been a bit depressed of late.  I'm having trouble coming to terms with the events of the past 3 years, and am unattractively mopey.

Anyhoo.  Apart from going to work, coming home and feeling sorry for myself, I've also been doing some fun things.  Like a weekend on the south coast for my cousin's wedding.

And down to the West Country for a long weekend of body-boarding for my birthday.

And finally a week in Menorca with the girls, where we did a whole load of nothing at all except eating, walking and lying in the sun reading, and loved every moment.
