wow...just - wow

Really?  Maybe it's because of my own experiences with pregnancy, but still - really?

  3. you know what, should i ever get to be knocked up again and get to have my first ever ultrasound and get to take a picture home - i'm showing every single freaking person i come into contact with that photo.

when you learn the hard way that not all pregnancies stick around, i say you take everything to do with that baby and hold on tight, yes even grainy ultrasound photo.

"If a woman is celebrating much more overtly than she might normally do regarding a pregnancy at an early stage during the pregnancy and then, at a later stage, a serious problem emerges, a mother may need increased counselling after raising everyone's expectations of her pregnancy at a 'foetus party', only to learn of complications later on."

i read that and think, if there are complications later on and god forbid something bad does that, that's all the MORE reason to celebrate the pregnancy, while you have it. i've done that with mine, refused to be cautious because i just didn't know how long they would last and so wanted to enjoy them while i could.

    ok rant over with!

  4. As if baby showers weren't bad enough. I hope never to be invited to a foetus party. That said, I will always regret not having more ultrasound pictures. In the last days before the miscarriage, I was having one about every week as things went from bad to worse. They never gave me a copy, and I never asked for one.
