Twenty hours on a ferry from Genoa and we fetched up in Palermo. If you haven't been to Sicily, and even if you have, come as soon as you can. It's gorgeous. And Palermo is even more chaotic and crumbling and charming than Genoa. Mali, I'm looking at you in particular. Come here and fall in love for yourself!

ReplyDeleteOh, I love Palermo! One of my favourite cities, went there years ago with zero money and stayed in a little campsite next door to some mad and vocal Belgians...then spent evenings watching the sunsets and days wandering the streets, eating nectarines and soaking up the sights and smells... Also managed to nearly get locked in to the catacombes (sp.?) and freaked myself out! Happy travelling!
